Meaning

Splitting apart; things are wearing away, keep still and safe.

Mountain over earth: the mountain crumbles to the ground. Decline; hold still.

剝：不利有攸往。

Splitting apart: it does not further one to go anywhere. Decline is underway; stay still and protect yourself.

初六：剝床以足，蔑貞，凶。
The leg of the bed is split; those who persevere are destroyed. Misfortune. The foundation is shaken.
六二：剝床以辨，蔑貞，凶。
The frame of the bed is split; the persevering are destroyed. Misfortune. Danger draws closer.
六三：剝之，無咎。
Splitting with them: no blame. Separate yourself from the wrong crowd.
六四：剝床以膚，凶。
The bed is split up to the skin: misfortune. Trouble reaches you.
六五：貫魚以宮人寵，無不利。
A shoal of fishes; favour comes through the court ladies. Everything furthers. Gentle guidance turns things around.
上九：碩果不食，君子得輿，小人剝廬。
A large fruit remains uneaten. The noble one receives a carriage; the petty man's house is split. Goodness survives decline.
