Cautionary
The final lot of the hundred, the full lot, marking the end of a cycle. Indecision and asking everyone only deepen confusion; rather than rush about, set it down and return to where you started. The Three Teachings debated without result: some things cannot be settled by argument. Do good, keep safe, and begin again when your mind is settled and the time has come.
此是滿籤。諸事不利。大作福力。可保平安。
This is the full lot: matters are unfavourable. Do much good and you will remain safe.
此卦守常勿動之象。凡事宜待時吉也。
完滿靈籤。盡報君加。信舊勿動。待等時至。
The image: keep to the usual and do not move; waiting brings luck. The verdict: this is the final, complete lot, and all has been told; keep faith with the old, don't move, and wait for your time.
Under Emperor Wu of Northern Zhou, Confucians, Buddhists and Daoists disparaged one another. The emperor summoned them to debate at court; three rounds of argument followed, each side holding its ground, and no conclusion was reached. The more they debated the Way, the more lost they became.
