The image: everyone suffering in the heat; things will still go as you wish. The verdict: don't hesitate between advance and retreat; a good time will come; no need to force plans or act rashly.
Orphaned young, Zhuge Liang lived quietly at Longzhong, farming and reading; people called him the Sleeping Dragon. He followed the affairs of the realm but did not rush into office, often sitting with his arms around his knees, chanting, waiting for a ruler worth serving. Only when Liu Bei came three times did he set out his grand plan and leave his retreat.
