Huan Wen and Yin Hao knew each other from childhood but became rivals at the Jin court, and Yin Hao was dismissed. Later Huan Wen, in power, considered restoring him; Yin Hao agonised so long over his reply that he finally sent a blank sheet. Huan Wen was furious and never contacted him again.
