Balanced
A lot of letting nature take its course. Like ice and water, things have their rhythm; striving now is wasted, and the thaw will come in time. Wang Xiang won the carp with sincerity, not force. Let go of gain and loss and wait for change; much of the guidance is unfavourable, so don't push.

此卦水結成冰之象。凡事不用枉求也。
水結成冰。冰消成水。若是營謀。到底如是。
The image: water freezing into ice; don't strain for things in vain. The verdict: water becomes ice and ice becomes water again; plans too will run their natural course.
Wang Xiang of the Jin was deeply devoted to his stepmother. One winter she wanted fresh fish, but the river was frozen. He lay on the ice to melt it with his body; the ice cracked and two carp leapt out. The story is one of the Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars, and Wang later rose to Grand Protector.
