This is someone you could marry.
Just three words: "fit to marry". Confucius married his daughter to Gongye Chang despite his having been jailed. This person is worth entrusting yourself to; look past rumours or past troubles to who they really are.

From the Analects: Confucius said of Gongye Chang, "He is fit to marry; though he was in prison, it was not his fault", and gave him his daughter.
