A fine pair, matched by heaven.
"A happy pair is called a match": a union made in heaven. The bond you ask about is a good one; you suit each other and can build it with confidence.
| Single | A good match is near; don't hesitate when you meet them. |
|---|---|
| Dating | You are well matched; move forward with confidence. |
| Married | You suit each other; cherish it. |
After Shi Fu of Jin in the Zuo Zhuan, Duke Huan year 2: "A happy pair is called fei (match), a resentful pair is called chou (enemy); so it was named of old." The temple text reads "pei".
