此卦守舊隨時之象。凡事待時則吉。
如醉飲酒。只宜守舊。直待時來。無災無咎。
The image: keep to the old and go with the times; waiting brings luck. The verdict: as if drunk on wine, just keep to the old; wait until the time comes, and there will be no harm or fault.
In the late Tang, Li Deyu led one of the two great court factions and dominated government under Emperor Wuzong. When Emperor Xuanzong came to power, the rival faction rose; Li was demoted again and again and finally exiled to Yazhou on Hainan, where he died in sorrow. Triumph turned to loss in a moment.
