So close yet unable to speak; find the courage to say it.
"Across a single shimmering stream, they gaze in silence, unable to speak": the Cowherd and Weaver, separated by a shallow river of stars. So close yet unable to say what you feel. Find the courage to speak; don't let one sentence become a river.

From "Far Away the Cowherd Star" in the Nineteen Old Poems: "The Milky Way is clear and shallow; how far apart are they? Across one brimming stream, they gaze in silence, unable to speak."
